Irrigation Water Management

GIS Mapping

Mission RCD offers mapping services using GIS equipment.  Maps of land parcels can be generated in an electronic (as a .pdf document) and/or hardcopy form. 

Soil and Water Testing

Before purchasing and applying fertilizer to your grove, wouldn't it be nice to know what the soil already contain? Before watering the trees using well water or river water, wouldn't be nice to know the quality of the water?

Knowing the nutrient content of your grove soil can prevent excess application of fertilizers and allows you to use your fertilizer regime more efficiently.

The quality of the irrigation water can have extreme effects on the crop performance; if groundwater or surface water is used in lieu of district water, salt in the water can seriously damage your crops if you do not leach it appropriately; if there is already nutrients existing in the water, it would not be necessary to fertilize more than is needed.
