The Santa Margarita – San Luis Rey Weed Management (SMSLRWMA) Area was formed to provide support, coordination and funding for management of invasive non-native plants and restoration of native riparian habitat within the Santa Margarita and San Luis Rey watersheds in San Diego County. Since its beginnings in the late 1990s, the Santa Margarita – San Luis Rey Weed Management Area has been successful in reducing and controlling several non-native, invasive plants in the watersheds.
If you own property within the Santa Margarita or San Luis Rey Watershed and would like assistance with invasive plant control on your property, please complete the SMSLRWMA permission slip and email, fax, or mail it to our office at 130 E. Alvarado Street, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
For more information on the Weed Management Area, or to report an invasive plant on your property, contact Paul Keane at firstname.lastname@example.org.
