Donate Your Extra Crop to the Senior Gleanors

If you have fruit trees and/or a vegetable garden in your backyard, it can be difficult at times to eat everything that you grow. If you have an excess of produce that you do not know what to do with, you can contact the Senior Gleanors. They will send out some volunteers to pick your extra fruit/vegetables and then take them to a local food pantry to be donated!
The Senior Gleaner's vission is "Ensuring every individual in San Diego County has access to fresh, healthy food by mobilizing the senior community to feed the food insecure."
It is of no cost to you and you know your fruits and vegetables are going to a good cause. Plus you can get a tax deduction from the itemized produce that you donate.
You can register to donate your produce on their website: Senior Gleanors and set up an appointment by contacting info@seniorgleanerssdco.org.
